Trust your instincts and know you CAN set boundaries when something doesn't feel right.

A young woman in our Facebook community recently posted about her house-sitting experience. She had been asked to arrive a few days early to a sit and share the house with the older gentleman who owned it.

While it was likely an innocent request, and not uncommon to be asked to arrive early, she didn’t feel comfortable with the arrangement.

Instead of ignoring her feelings, she offered a compromise: she would stay in a nearby B&B for those initial days and meet the owner each morning to learn the ropes.

Her suggestion was accepted, and the sit went smoothly thereafter.

This simple act of setting boundaries not only made her feel at ease but also ensured she could confidently carry out her duties.

A reminder that it’s always okay to trust your instincts and create the conditions you need to thrive.
