2025 Travel Trends: Navigating the New Norm in Global Adventures
From Remote Retreats to Cultural Capitals: What's Hot in Travel This Year
We're deep in planning our calendar for the year, and through our research we've discovered some emerging travel trends that might interest you. This year, it seems that you, like us, are seeking unique experiences that blend remote working opportunities with immersive cultural engagements, reshaping the traditional vacation into something far more enriching and enduring.
With a significant uptick in searches for destinations that cater to digital nomads, places like Tokyo (see you again in May!), Valletta (get yourself to Malta, if you've not been), and Rome, are emerging as hot spots.
These cities are not just travel destinations but also vibrant hubs for remote work, offering high-speed internet, co-working spaces, and a cosmopolitan lifestyle that attracts professionals from around the world.
Another trend we've spotted being discussed in our community is more about mindset than anything else. Our travel philosophy feels as if it's shifting from the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) to the Joy of Missing Out (JOMO). Discerning travellers are increasingly selecting destinations where they can escape the hustle and bustle of tourist traps. Instead, we are choosing serene environments like beaches and mountains to truly disconnect and rejuvenate. We are planning to visit Gran Canaria in April for this very reason. (If you have tips, please reply to this email to share :)
As the world continues to embrace flexible lifestyles, 2025 is poised to be a year where travel meets tranquillity, culture, and connectivity. Whether it's through long-term stays in cultural capitals or retreats to remote landscapes, this year's travel trends are all about making each journey uniquely personal and profoundly rewarding.
What's your preference for destination or travel style this year? We'd love to hear from you. Drop us a line on social media or reply to this email.

📍WHERE IN THE WORLD IS KYOTO, JAPAN?
“A fusion of tradition and tech…”
Kyoto, Japan’s former imperial capital, is a dream destination for digital nomads seeking a balance of culture, history, and modern convenience. Famous for its stunning temples, serene gardens, and deep-rooted traditions, Kyoto offers an inspiring and tranquil base for remote work.
The districts of Higashiyama and Gion provide a glimpse into old Japan, with charming streets lined with tea houses and shrines. For a more contemporary work setup, head to the area around Kyoto Station or Karasuma, where coworking spaces and stylish cafes cater to remote professionals.
After work, wander through the bamboo groves of Arashiyama, take in the breathtaking views from Fushimi Inari Shrine, or unwind with a matcha tea ceremony. With excellent WiFi, a peaceful yet dynamic atmosphere, and easy access to the rest of Japan, Kyoto is the perfect place to blend deep focus with cultural exploration.
